Current Fluctuations for the Totally Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process

چکیده
The time-integrated current of the TASEP has non-Gaussian fluctuations of order t. The recently discovered connection to random matrices and the Painlevé II RiemannHilbert problem provides a technique through which we obtain the probability distribution of the current fluctuations, in particular their dependence on initial conditions, and the stationary two-point function. Some open problems are explained.

Microscopic concavity and fluctuation bounds in a class of deposition processes
We prove fluctuation bounds for the particle current in totally asymmetric zero range processes in one dimension with nondecreasing, concave jump rates whose slope decays exponentially. Fluctuations in the characteristic directions have order of magnitude t. This is in agreement with the expectation that these systems lie in the same KPZ universality class as the asymmetric simple exclusion pro...

The generalized totally asymmetric exclusion process (TASEP) [J. Stat. Mech. (2012) P05014] is an integrable generalization of the TASEP equipped with an interaction, which enhances the clustering of particles. The process interpolates between two extremal cases: the TASEP with parallel update and the process with all particles irreversibly merging into a single cluster moving as an isolated pa...
متن کاملStatistics of current-activity fluctuations in asymmetric flow with exclusion.
We consider steady-state current activity statistics for the one-dimensional totally asymmetric simple exclusion process. With the help of the known operator algebra (for general open boundary conditions), as well as general probabilistic concepts (for the periodic case), we derive and evaluate closed-form expressions for the lowest three moments of the probability distribution function. These ...
متن کاملA totally asymmetric exclusion process with hierarchical long range connections
A non-equilibrium particle transport model, the totally asymmetric exclusion process, is studied on a one-dimensional lattice with a hierarchy of fixed long range connections. This model breaks the particle–hole symmetry observed on an ordinary one-dimensional lattice and results in a surprisingly simple phase diagram, without a maximum current phase. Numerical simulations of the model with ope...
